Our history

established in 1982

The name Silvius Druon is a contraction of two first names: Silvius Brabo and Druon Antigoon, two well-known heroes from Antwerp folklore. But S&D are also the initials of the two brothers Stefan and Dennis Leemans, the second generation of Belgian diamond dealers, a family business dating back to 1982.

Stefan is responsible for most creations and his younger brother Dennis does the follow-up of the specialist craftsmen: goldsmiths, setters, polishers and engravers. The high-end jewelry brand Silvius Druon is designed and manufactured in Antwerp, exclusively with diamonds that were strictly selected for their color, purity and certification.

Silvius Druon is the exclusive partner of the DIVA Diamond Museum in Antwerp: an experience centre that breathes craftsmanship. In the DIVA-museum you can find the Silvius Druon flagship store, right around the corner of the Silvius Brabo statue, in a neighborhood that used to be known for his diamond dealers. It’s all history repeating!

Jan Leemans, founder of the family business, at work in his trading office in the Antwerp Diamond District. The picture was taken in 1986 and the top left corner shows that Stefan and Dennis were already around but clearly too young to help out in the family business at that time.
